Liquidity works differently here
With shares and currencies there is almost always someone on the other side of a sale. With NFT there is not: a collection can go for days without a single trade. A floor of twelve ether then only means that somebody is offering at that price.
Add concentration: a single large holder can move a collection's floor on their own. Anyone adding NFT should know these two properties — they are the rule of this market, not the exception.
Where the values come from
Floor prices and volumes come from the marketplaces where the collections trade. For now we maintain them manually and mark them indicative.
Cover images, once supplied, are copied into our own storage and served from there. No image is loaded from a third-party server.
